Our website CUBErider.de - the adventure blog
After we had found the idea of doing a tour with the e-bikes across the Alps to be a good one, it quickly became clear that we would also accompany the whole adventure with a blog. I had already written a blog and had a very concrete idea of what it should look like. Well, it's a long way from the idea to reality.
That's how this website came into being. It should serve as a platform for us. On the one hand, we want to document our journey here - not only for us, but above all for our family and friends. Since a cycling trip like this is not necessarily something that happens every day, but many people are interested in it, this blog also serves as an inspiration for those who are interested.
On the other hand, we also want to learn here how to live as "digital nomads". This website should also help us to earn money. Besides the usual possibilities, such as affiliate programmes, Google AdSense, direct marketing of advertising banners and the like, we will try to find sponsors who can support us. As far as this whole area is concerned, we are still at the very beginning. We first have to learn how this all works, what the legal requirements are and much more. I will deal with this in the next few weeks.
The current status
So far the traffic jam is as follows: the website consists of 6 pages, which are almost finished visually and functionally. The content still needs to be revised, but it is already a first impression. We will certainly change one or two things from time to time, but the foundation has been laid. The blog is slowly taking shape and is divided into three categories. The first templates for posts have been created. That will help us later when we can finally get started.
The basic layout for CUBErider has been created and already implemented in the CMS. The first contents have been written. The technical finishing touches still need to be made. The possibilities are almost limitless.
The blog, the heart of this website. The blog has been implemented in the CMS, categories have been created and the first posts have been entered. Many things still need to grow and adapt here. The blog will develop and here too we will learn what works best
Blogging is a serious business model. It's not for nothing that there are more and more people who can make a side income from their blog or even live off it completely. We will test what works for us. There is still a lot to learn here
